The essential phone, or PH-1, is the latest in the line of Android smartphones. Comes from one of the original creators of the Android platform, Andy Rubin, and has been designed with minimalism and endurance in mind. Has a display from the edge to the edge and a body made of titanium, but how does it compare with your competition? Here are the differences between the Essential ph1 vs Samsung s8.

The two Samsung devices opt for a ratio of 18.5: 9 and HD + Quad 2960 x 1440 resolution, resulting in respective pixels density of 570 and 529ppi, which are nicer than Essential, although this may not be visible by eye human.

The Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 + have the Exynos 8895 chip or Qualcomm Snapdragon 835m depending on the region. Both model variants have 4GB of RAM and 64GB of memory and offer both microSD support for up to 256 GB of memory expansion.

The Galaxy S8 has a battery capacity of 3000mAh, while the S8 + has a capacity of 3500mAh, both loaded via USB Type C and quick charging bracket. There is a 3.5 mm headphone jack on the S8 and S8 +.

The essential phone will be launched on Android Nougat without bloatware, offering a pure Android experience.

The Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 +, on the other hand, also run on Android, but have Samsung’s TouchWiz software at the top, which means the experience will be slightly different. Samsung devices also feature the Bixby and Google Assistant voice server, while the essential phone will probably only have Google Assistant.

We expect all three devices to be upgraded to Android or released later this year, although nothing has yet been confirmed.
